Following on the progress of the region in bringing the concept of development justice to global attention and the establishment of Asia-Pacific Regional CSO Engagement Mehanism (AP-RCEM), the Asia Pacific Civil Society Forum on Sustainable Development will be a forum for civil society organisations to work together and consolidate their position for a regional sustainable development agenda. Asia-Pacific civil society organisations from different sectors and countries will come together and explore common ground and actions, develop common messages and coordinate strategies for more effective participation in the regional intergovernmental processes for sustainable development.
The CSO Forum is convened by ESCAP, UNEP in collaboration with APWLD on behalf of AP-RCEM.

We are hoping to have more Asia Pacific CSO engaging with this process, including those coming from peoples’ and social movements, grassroots organisations, and under-represented contituencies. There will be opportunities to get travel fund for this meeting
